You mentioned making sure neighbors would accept a pantry before building, and we did! Everyone directly around us expressed approval prior to starting, but f*ck if I did not sorely underestimate how angry others would be. The Little Free Pantry movement is so beautiful. I’ve already made connections where we’re moving to hopefully get involved with an active pantry there, and I genuinely loved being a steward and hope to figure out a more peaceful way to pursue that again in the future, but for now, this pantry is closing and we need to take it off the map.
